Police say a jailed Long Island man accused of robbing a church donation box three times has been linked by DNA to a fourth robbery at the same church.
Police say 43-year-old Mark Spruill was arraigned in February for looting the poor boxes at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Massapequa twice in 2009 and once in 2010.
Police say Spruill, who is being held in the Nassau County jail, was charged on Wednesday with a fourth robbery at the same church after blood from the crime scene matched Spruill’s DNA.
Police say the blood came from a broken donation box.
