Wear Your Toothbrush

by Jaclyn Gallucci on July 14, 2009

27GrnPag_4toothRecycline Preserve toothbrushes, found at most drug stores, are made out of plastic from recycled Stonyfield Yogurt cups.  you’re done, recycle them with your other #5 plastic or send it back in the postage-paid envelope it comes with so it can go on to become a deck, boardwalk or picnic table.

And if you can’t give up your regular brand toothbrush, visit ToothbrushExpress.com where you can sign up to receive new toothbrushes at predefined intervals that come with postage-paid mailers for recycling.

If neither of those options works for you, take your toothbrush (preferably one without rubber gripping) throw it in a pot of boiling water for about 5 minutes or until it becomes soft and bendable. Take it out with tongs, use a tweezer to pull out the bristles and wrap it around a glass jar for shaping. Remove it from the jar and throw it in cold water and you have yourself a one-of-a-kind, homemade bracelet.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
