After Seven Years Apart, The Most Famous Couple Is Back Together – On the perfect day to recognize love, Valentines Day, Barbie® and Ken® announced that they are officially a couple again.

The renewed romance comes after a shocking split in 2004 when, after more than 43 years together, the couple decided to split and Barbie® began dating Blaine®, an Australian surfer.

In 2010 Ken® made a huge stride and surely caught Barbie’s eye when he landed the starring role in Toy Story 3, as himself. Throughout the remainder of 2010 and into 2011, he used Facebook and Twitter to proclaim his love for Barbie through romantic posts and loving gestures.

This wasn’t the first time Ken tried to get Barbie back; He enlisted the help of celebrity stylist, Phillip Bloch in 2006 to give him a “Hollywood makeover,” in hopes to win Barbie back. But Barbie didn’t budge.

It wasn’t until early February 14th that Barbie officially changed her Facebook status to “in a relationship,” letting the world know – Her fantastic plastic was back. The couple is already hot and heavy and wasting no time, they recently merged their Facebook pages and you can find the two at www.facebook.com/barbie.

“Barbie® and Ken® have an epic love story that has stood the test of time,” said Stephanie Cota, Senior Vice President Global Marketing, Girls Brands in a press release.

Barbie® and Ken® dolls will appear together in a limited edition set called “Together Again”. The set will feature the two lovers- Ready for a romantic date in Malibu, and are inspired by the 1959 and 1961 swimsuits they first sported together. The set will be available for five dollars.

Barbie & Ken’s romance started in 1961 and the two quickly shot to stardom and became the most recognized American power couple. Throughout the years the two grew in fashion and careers, together taking on many different looks and personas. Each decade the two took on different hairstyles and different careers from big hair in the ’80s and becoming Olympians to Malibu tans and becoming dancers and pilots.

Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party.
