Lindsay Lohan was ordered to several months in rehab Friday, but avoided jail time, according to TMZ, who set up a livestream at the Beverly Hills courthouse where Lohan appeared.

Lindsay will have to stay in rehab until Jan. 31. She is due back in court on Feb. 25, and will undergo mandatory drug testing in between her release from rehab and her return to court.
Although the D.A. recommended a 180-day jail sentence for Lohan, Judge Elden Fox stated he wants Lindsay to stay in rehab. Fox also reportedly told Lohan “You are an addict. I hope you understand that.” Lindsay nodded her head in agreement.

Both Lohan’s mother Dina and her estranged father Michael were present at the hearing. Lindsay thanked Judge Fox and left the courtroom in tears.
