The news of Karen Owen’s “Thesis,” a 42-slide PowerPoint presentation documenting her sexual conquests during her time as a student at Duke University, continues to spread like wildfire across the Web. Some are cheering her, some are damning her, but all are curious.

On the other hand, the subjects of her “thesis,” mostly members of the Duke Lacrosse team (who had already been marred in controversy a few years ago) are embarrassed and angry, due to the fact that their names and photos were exposed for all to see. Some are even calling it sexual harassment.
While Owen was initially playful about the list, saying she’s “got some fantastic stories for the grandkids,” she recently apologized, telling Jezebel.com “I regret it with all my heart. I would never intentionally hurt the people that are mentioned on that.” She also threatened to sue Deadspin.com, a Gawker affiliate who hosted the PowerPoint with the names and pictures of the subjects exposed. (Most sites chose to blur them out.)
