Former baseball pro Roberto Alomar is being accused of having unprotected sex wtih his wife while HIV-positive during their marriage.
Maria Del Pilar “Maripily” Rivera Alomar, 33, filed a lawsuit against her estranged husband, 42, alleging the former Met and Oriole intentionally kept his HIV-positive status hidden from her so that she would agree to have unprotected sex with him, the New York Post first reported.

The lawsuit also claims that not only did Alomar keep his condition a secret from his wife, but he lied to her, saying that he had been tested and the results were negative.
Rivera Alomar’s claims are very similar to that of Ilya Dall, Alomar’s ex-girlfriend, who sued him last year on the same basis. Dall alleged that Alomar had full-blown AIDS. The case was settled last May.
At the time, Maripily Rivera (then Alomar’s girlfriend), who has been dubbed the Paris Hilton of Puerto Rico, was one of his biggest supporters.
