Missing Boater Found On Plum Island

by Associated Press on September 25, 2009

plumislandCoast Guard and Connecticut police officers say a boater who went missing in Long Island Sound was found unharmed on Plum Island.

Rescuers launched a search for the 30-year-old man from Old Lyme Thursday night after he didn’t return when expected to Old Saybrook from Southold, N.Y. A friend told police the boater had only six gallons of gas left when he departed the Long Island town.

Search crews say they found the man’s 13-foot Boston Whaler after midnight tied up on Plum Island, which is home to a federal animal disease research center. They found the boater on the island a little later.

The man’s name and other details were not released.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
