A convicted sex offender with AIDS has admitted in a Suffolk County courtroom to having sex with nine young men, although prosecutors do not believe any of the victims have become ill from the trysts.
Robert Musmacker pleaded guilty Monday to a 25-count indictment charging him with reckless endangerment, criminal sex acts and endangering the welfare of a child.
Judge Barbara Kahn in Riverhead said she will give the former newspaper deliveryman 14 years in prison when he is sentenced next month.
The 37-year-old Musmacker was required to register as a sex offender because of a 1992 sodomy conviction involving a 6-year-old relative.
In the latest case, prosecutors say Musmacker “groomed” his victims, giving the young men cell phones, prepaid phone cards, alcohol and marijuana.
