A 38-year-old Huntington Station man was shot to death near his home on Sunday night, Suffolk police said.
Geremias Caceres was walking from a deli on West Hills Road to his 10th Avenue home with his teenage son when he was approached by three men and shot in the abdomen at 9:53 p.m., police said. The victim was taken to Huntington Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Homicide Squad detective say that it appears the victim was being robbed when he was shot. The investigation is continuing.
