Suffolk police arrested Monday three women who had a 5-month-old boy and 14-year-old girl with them while allegedly shoplifting from a Target store in South Setauket.
Officers responded to a call at the store on Pond Path after security spotted the three Middle Island women on surveillance camera and saw them leave the store without paying for assorted merchandise at 5:09 p.m., police said.
Shameeka Hollman, 23, Tenayah Dawson, 17, and Shenita Cullins, 19, were each charged with grand larceny.
Hollman, who had her infant son with her, was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child, as was Dawson, who had her teenaged niece with her.
Police investigating similar thefts and said that additional charges could follow. All three were arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Tuesday.
