Nassau County police are looking for four masked, armed suspects who stabbed and burned a man with a hot iron after tying up five victims in a Roosevelt home invasion Monday night.
The foursome, armed with handguns, pulled a 35-year-old man standing outside of an Anna Avenue home into their van, tied him up and left him with the driver while the other three broke into the house at 11:30 p.m., police said.
Once inside, the trio tied up a 49-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man, who they pistol-whipped in a downstairs bedroom where the victims were sleeping.
The assailants then barged into an upstairs bedroom where a 21-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man were sleeping, tied both victims up and pistol-whipped that man, too, police said.
The 43-year-old victim was dragged into the basement, where the attackers demanded money. When he refused, they burned him with a hot iron on the butt and shoulder and stabbed him in the left leg.
The home invaders fled with cell phones and cash in a blue or black older model Astro van after pushing the first victim out of the van. The suspects were only described as black men, possibly with Jamaican accents.
The stabbed victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries. The other victims refused medical assistance.
