Nassau County police said several roads in the Seaford area will be closed Saturday for the Seaford Fire Department parade.
The parade, scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m., will assemble at the Seaford Long Island Rail Road parking lot and will proceed southbound on Washington Avenue as the parade makes its way across Sunrise Highway to Merrick Road where it will turn west toward the Seaford Firehouse.
According to police, Sunrise Highway will have intermittent traffic stops between 5 and 5:30 pm at Washington Avenue.
Merrick Road will be closed between Seaford Avenue and the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway from approximately 5 to 7:00 p.m.
Eastbound exits from the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway will be closed as follows:
- Eastbound on Sunrise Highway from 4:55 to 5:35 pm
- Eastbound Merrick Road from 5:10 to 7 p.m.
All times are subject to change based on duration of parade, police said.
