A Queens man has been accused of trying to stab a man to death following an argument at Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream last week.
Nassau County police said Garth L. Blair got into an argument with the 23-year-old victim when the fight escalated and the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim in his chest, back and legs shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
The suspect fled the scene but police apprehended the 31-year-old Rosedale man on Saturday.
Blair was charged with second-degree attempted murder.
His bail was set at $300,000 during his initial court appearance Sunday. He is due back in court Wednesday.
