Nassau County police are investigating a shooting in Elmont that left a man dead and a woman hospitalized on Monday morning.
A police spokesman said officers responded to the shooting at an Oakley Avenue home where the victims were found at 10:15 a.m.
The woman was taken to a local hospital where the is listed in critical condition. The identities of the victims was not immediately available.

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating. No arrests have been made.
