Columbus Day Closings 2012: Banks, Post Offices – What’s Open & What’s Not

It’s Columbus Day again and some of us are off from work, some of us aren’t. So for those of you looking to mail a letter, go to the bank or wondering why your garbage hasn’t been picked up, here you go.

Some banks are open on Columbus Day, but most are closed. Check with your local branch of course, but generally speaking Chase, TD Bank and Wells Fargo all keep their doors open on Columbus Day.

There is no garbage pickup and all state/federal offices are closed.

Public schools are closed and so are all United States Post Office locations.

There is no mail delivery.

For those with three-day weekends, enjoy!
