Comedians Amy Poehler and Will Arnett are calling it quits after nine years of marriage. The pair have two children together.
A publicist confirmed that the Poehler, 40, and Arnett, 42, are ending their marriage after it was reported by Us Weekly. The breakup is reportedly amicable.
The two first started dating in 2000, right before Poehler joined “Saturday Night Live.” They were married on August 29, 2003.
Poehler and Arnett have two sons together, 3-year-old Archie and 2-year-old Abel.
The comedians currently both star in NBC sitcoms. Poehler plays Leslie Knope on “Parks and Recreation,” and Arnett co-stars with Christina Applegate as a new parent in “Up All Night.”
Arnett and Poehler also acted in several movies together and guest starred on one another’s television shows. In 2004 Poehler guest-starred as Arnett’s character’s wife in “Arrested Development,” and in 2010 Arnett appeared on “Parks and Recreation.”
The two played a brother and sister figure skating team in 2001’s “Blades of Glory,” and also appeared together in “Monsters vs. Aliens,” “Horton Hears a Who!,” “On Broadway” and “Spring Breakdown.”
This was Poehler’s first marriage and Arnett’s second. He divorced “The Artist” actress Penelope Ann Miller in 1995 after one year of marriage.
