A Massapequa Park man was arrested for allegedly robbing a Walgreen’s Pharmacy in Bethpage Monday morning.
Police say Justin Roach, 21, at 4 a.m. presented a note to theĀ pharmacist at 4120 Hempstead Turnpike and threatened the use of a bomb, before jumping over the counter and removing multiple boxes of prescription medication.
Roach then fled out the rear door to Hempstead Turnpike, according to police, where he was grabbed by two store employees and held until police arrived.
There were no injuries reported. Four store employees were present at the time of the Robbery. All proceeds were also recovered.
Roach was later taken to the Nassau University Medical Center and is being treated for an unrelated health condition.
Roach is charged with robbery.
