A New York City school teacher has admitted to having sexual relations with a 16-year-old boy at a Lynbrook motel last year.
Tara Driscoll pleaded guilty Tuesday at Nassau County court to first-degree sexual misconduct.
Prosecutors said the 33-year-old Bay Shore woman drove the boy to the Capri Motel where they engaged in sexual relations on March 19, 2011.
The victim’s mother reported the incident to authorities after finding out about it.
Driscoll, who was assigned to the Campus Magnet High School in Queens, was removed from the classroom in May and surrendered to police in August.
She will surrender her teacher’s license and receive 6 years’ probation when she is sentenced May 22, according to a spokesman for the district attorney’s office.
She will also be a registered sex offender, although which level will not be determined until her next court date.
