A Long Island woman already accused of fatally stabbing her ex-husband has been charged with beating her mother.
Suffolk prosecutors say Nancy Boland was charged with second-degree assault. She’s being held on $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.
According to Newsday, Boland allegedly beat her mother Monday night with an aluminum cane.
The 83-year-old woman was treated at a hospital for bruising and a broken nose.
Her lawyer says Boland has an order of protection against her mother. He said he didn’t know what led to the argument.
Boland had been free on bail after being charged with first-degree manslaughter in the November death of her ex-husband, Walter Boland. Police say he was stabbed and then his body was dumped near the Wantagh State Parkway.
