A reputed street gang member has admitted to his role in killing a Holbrook man as a part of a plot to kill another man.
Luis Cherry pleaded guilty Friday at Suffolk County court to second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
Prosecutors said the 22-year-old Queens man and a second man who is awaiting trial fatally shot John Williams outside of his home in October 2010.
Reginald Ross, who is an alleged leader of the same gang, The Crips, is facing identical charges, plus a slew of drug charges, after his arrested for the 39-year-old man’s slaying and the death of a construction flagman in May 2010.
Authorities have said Ross gunned down the second victim, 51-year-old Raymond Hirt, when the suspect was upset that he got stuck in traffic.
They have also said Ross, 34, of Yaphank, plotted Williams’ murder to lure a drug dealer to the funeral, where he planned to kill him.
Both Ross and Cherry were arrested last March. Cherry will be sentenced Feb. 7. Ross is due back in court Feb. 28.
