HBO’s “True Blood” season 4 is set to premiere this Sunday June 26th at 9 p.m.
Last season we saw Sookie discover she has faerie in her blood, which is what has made her irresistible to vampires. During the third season, Bon Temps, Louisiana was infested with not only vampires but shape-shifters and witches too.
The most bittersweet moment of season three by far was when viewers experienced a Sookie and Bill break up, which the world hoped would allow a Sookie/Eric romance to blossom.
This season, True Blood takes on book four of the Stackhouse series, Dead to the World and gives fans a little bit of what they’ve been wishing for, as we hear Eric and Sookie are showering together in the very first episode. The trailer shows that in the first episode “She’s Not There,” the vampires are trying to win back the human public.
The trailer also reveals a whole bunch of witchcraft. Creator Alan Ball confirmed that witches play a major role in the new season. A new character played by Fiona Shaw is Marnie, a palm reader who is possessed by a witch.
