“Harry Potter” author, J.K.Rowling has just launched a new website called Pottermore.
Pottermore has just been unveiled as the latest “Harry Potter” venture. It comes as a free website that builds an exciting online experience around the reading of the “Harry Potter” books. Readers are invited to come back on July 31st to find out how to get the chance to enter Pottermore early.
Rowling also announced that the seven Harry Potter novels will be available as eBooks beginning in October on the Pottermore website.
Earlier this month, just finding the website proved to be quite the challenge. According to Digitalspy.com, ten different Potter websites were given coordinates. Each coordinate pertained to a different letter in the Pottermore name, all which would be pieced together to reveal the website’s address. As we previously reported, Potter fans also kept updated through Twitter and YouTube. Rowling set up a Pottermore Twitter account that already had over 33,000 followers within its first few weeks as well as a YouTube page that kept a Pottermore countdown.
The new site comes along with the final “Harry Potter” movie installment. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 is set to hit theaters July 15th. The plot is described on IMdb:
“With three of Voldemort’s six horcruxes destroyed, Harry, Ron and Hermione must find the rest. One of them is a fabled Cup that once belonged to Helga Hufflepuff, one of the founders of Hogwarts, but the other two remain mysteries.” They’re so many questions, all which “Must be answered for ultimate Battle of Hogwarts, where the final showdown between Harry and the Dark Lord will determine the fate of both the wizarding and muggle worlds for the rest of eternity.”
