A Baldwin man was arrested for possession of 70 lbs of marijuana with a street value of more than $500,000 on Friday, New York State police said.
Jared Silkie accepted the delivery of a box containing 60 lbs of marijuana at his Steele Boulevard home, police said.
When Narcotics Enforcement Unit investigators searched the 25-year-old man’s home, they uncovered an additional 10 lbs of pot police said.
He was charged with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony.
Silkie will be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
