Google has been so long synonymous with search engines that it’s hard for a lot of folks to imagine ever using something else.
But there’s something new on the horizon that could change the way we dig up info on these interwebs we’ve come to know and love: Qwiki.
Qwiki is a multimedia search engine, according to ABCNews.com, that uses equal parts Google, YouTube and Wikpedia to present information to users in an interactive, engaging way rather than merely textually.
Qwiki aims to “deliver information in a format that’s quintessentially human — via storytelling instead of search,” according to its website.
The search engine, still in the “alpha” stage of development, was founded by Doug Imbruce and Dr. Louis Monier, and is partially funded by Eduardo Saverin, co-founder of Facebook, according to ABCNews.
