Suffolk police are investigating the death of Nicole Tessa, a North Patchogue woman whose body was found in the woods near her home Tuesday after she was reported missing.
Family members of Tessa, 31, filed a missing persons report with police on December 19, after Tessa was last seen on December 17, according to police.
Canine Section Officer John Mallia and his dog Blue were searching a wooded area near Tessa’s home, located at 103 Prince St., North Patchogue, when police say they found Tessa’s body near the intersection of Prince and Jefferson Streets at approximately 11 a.m.
