The Power of Ideas was launched in India in 2009 as a way to breed business ideas through mentoring and investing, and encouraging entrepreneurship.
The Power of Ideas came about during rough economic times in 2009 as a way to boost business and the entrepreneurial spirit.
More than 12,500 ideas for business were conjured up and 1,000 participants who submitted ideas were offered training and mentorship sessions. Then 254 of these people went through one-on-one mentoring before presenting their ideas.
Nearly 20 ideas have been funded.
