Nassau County police investigated a suspicious package in Great Neck Saturday morning.

According to police, a passerby notice a leather suitcase in the rear of Temple Bethel located at 5 Old Mill Rd. The temple and sorrounding area were evacuated andd a mechanical bomb detector and bomb squad detective inspected the suitcase. It was determined to be filled with clothing.

The temple and surrounding areas reopened shortly after.
