Teen Arrested For Theft At Valley Stream Wal-Mart

by Long Island Press on August 15, 2010

A Brooklyn teenager was arrested Friday for stealing various items from a Valley Stream Wal-Mart.

Jose Colon, 16, was perusing the Wal-Mart at 77 Green Acres Rd. According to Nassau County Police Department Fifth Squad detectives, Colon took portable hard drives from their packaging and put them in his pockets. He took some music CDs as well.

Colon made his way to the front of the store and was stopped in its vestibule. He pulled out a knife from his waistband and threatened to stab surrounding customers and employees before fleeing from the store. Later, he returned and was arrested by Fifth Squad detectives.

Colon is charged with first-degree robbery.
