UPDATE 2: Experiencing issues accessing JailBreakMe’s website? You’re not alone.
UPDATE: Comex is reporting users with iPads on iOS version 3.2.1 are having issues. In addition users on any platform seeing MMS problems shouldn’t panic; these things are common.
Steve Jobs be damned, but the jailbreaking community has done it again: the iPhone 4 is now jailbroken.
JailbreakMe, a web-based jailbreaking solution for iPhone 4 owners, went live this evening. Accessing the site on your iPhone will allow a simple one-step jailbreak.
Jailbreaking has become popular on the iPhone to allow apps and tweaks prohibited by Apple. In addition to the iPhone 4, JailbreakMe also works on previous models, as well as the iPad.
The web-based jailbreak follows a pretty interesting decision handed down by the Library of Congress which, per the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DCMA), allows phone owners to legally jailbreak their phones.
Comex’s servers are being inundated with requests, so they’ve made a second link live to get your hands on the break.
