An Astoria Federal Saving Bank in North Patchogue was robbed on Wednesday morning.
Suffolk County police said a woman entered the bank at 10:35 a.m. and handed the teller a note demanding cash. The teller gave her the cash from the drawer, and the woman then fled on foot southbound on Route 112, where the bank is located.
The suspect is described as a white woman with a thin build, around 55 to 60 years old, with red hair in a ponytail. She was wearing sunglasses and a red long-sleeve t-shirt with black pants.
