A Metro PCS store in Elmont was robbed by three masked men on Saturday night.
Nassau County police said a 22-year-old man was working at the store on Hempstead Turnpike when three men wearing a hooded sweatshirt and face mask entered at 6:10 p.m. Two of the robbers approached the employee while the third remained at the front door as a lookout.
As the two robbers made their way toward the employee, one took out a handgun and pointed it at him, while the other placed an empty backpack on the store counter and told the employee to fill it with money from the store’s register, police said. The employee complied and the three robbers fled southbound on Rockmart Avenue. The victim was not injured.
Of the three suspects, one is described as Hispanic, while the other two are described as black.
