Three family members and a Commack teenager were arrested following a fight between about 10 people in North Massapequa on Sunday night, Nassau County police said.
An argument between two groups of people escalated into a fight in which Anthony Oliveto, 17, of Commack, assaulted a man and a woman victim with a box cutter on Syracuse Avenue at 11:30 p.m., police said.
The two victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment of lacerations to their legs. Another woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment of contusions and swelling.
In addition, 42-year-old Bettina Johnson and her daughter, Elizabeth, 16, both of North Massapequa, were charged with assault along with Oliveto. Bettina Johnson’s son, Dominick Johnson, 19, was charged with obstructing government administration.
They will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Monday except for Dominick Johnson, who was given a desk appearance ticket for a future court date.
