A Mount Sinai woman was caught with a suspicious passenger while driving in an HOV lane Tuesday morning according the Suffolk County Sheriff’s office.
K.A. Frascinella, 61, was pulled over after Deputy Sheriff Robert Howard became suspicious of the passenger, noting that they were wearing sunglasses and and using the visor on a cloudy morning. Upon closer inspection, Deputy Sheriff Howard found that the passenger was indeed a mannequin sporting a long dark wig, blazer and scarf.
Ms. Frascinella received a fine and two points on her license.
Incidents like this can cause congestion on roads that are already plagued with heavy traffic, and these violations are taken very seriously, as Suffolk County Sheriff Vincent DeMarco states, “At first glance this may seem humorous, but it is not a joking matter when you drive off with a ticket.”
