Cops: Queens Man Sexually Abused Woodbury Aide

by Long Island Press on January 26, 2010

Nassau County police arrested a 28-year-old Queens man for sexually abusing a female aide in December at the Center for Developmental Disabilities in Woodbury.

Cerone Samuel

According to Second Squad detectives, Cerone Samuel, of 168-12 127th Ave., Jamaica, entered a bathroom at the facility and approached a 22-year-old female aide from behind while she was bathing a resident on Dec. 21, 2009 at 8:30 p.m. Samuel, who had removed his pants, said detectives, pushed the woman to the floor and touched her inappropriately. She was able to push Samuel away, run downstairs and call 911, according to detectives.

Samuel left the scene prior to police arrival, said detectives, and the victim did not sustain any injuries.

Samuel was arrested today at the Second Precinct and charged with 1st Degree Sexual Abuse. He will be arraigned today in First District Court, Hempstead.
