Randy Quaid: Arrest Warrant Issued for Randy Quaid, Again

by Brad Pareso on April 15, 2010

Method actors: Daniel Day-Lewis. Sean Penn. Randy Quaid?

No, despite Quaid’s striking likeness to his character from the National Lampoon’s Vacation movies, the actor was not preparing for a role when a warrant was issued for his arrest, and he’s still not getting into character despite another arrest warrant being issued for he and his wife Evi.

The Quaids failed to appear in court on Monday to answer for charges they defrauded an innkeeper last year by refusing to pay a $10,000 bill at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, Calif.

The initial warrant was issued after the Quaids used an invalid credit card to pay for their stay at the hotel, then promised payment later. They appeared in court last December to plead not guilty and were released on $40,000 bail.
