A man was shot and stabbed in Elmont early Sunday morning, Nassau police said.
The 20-year-old victim got into a confrontation with several other men outside of a Troy Avenue home after at a party there had ended at 1:25 a.m.
The victim, whose name police did not release, was first stabbed three times in the torso by one unknown attacker, then he was punched by several men and as he ran away, he was shot once in the leg, according to Fifth Squad detectives.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was admitted in stable condition with injuries that are not considered to be life threatening.
