Cops: Shots Fired Ring in New Year in Elmont

Nassau police are investigating a shooting in Elmont early Friday morning. bullets-300x2251

A Fifth Precinct officer responded to L Street after a man walking his dog found five shell casings in the street at 12:15 p.m. Neighbors told police that they had heard possible shots fired at approximately 2 a.m.

There was no 911 call made at that time.

Fifth Squad detectives ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
