A bank was robbed in Westbury on Tuesday morning, Nassau police said.
A man gave a demand note to a teller at the TD Bank on Old Country Road at 11:10 a.m., according to Robbery Squad detectives. After obtaining an unknown amount of cash, the robber fled on foot westbound on Old Country Road.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s, 5’7” tall, wearing a brown and cream-colored flannel shirt and a dark baseball cap with a Peterbilt logo on it.
The suspect matches the description of an individual who committed a similar robbery at the Chase Bank on Jericho Turnpike in Woodbury on Nov. 29.
