Suffolk police said Jose Gonzales of East Patchogue was driving a GMC van southbound on Mastic Road when he rear-ended a school bus that was stopped in traffic near the intersection of Clinton Avenue at 6:45 a.m.

The bus then struck the back of another school bus that was also waiting in traffic.
