An adult hall monitor at a high school on Long Island is facing petit larceny charges after she was apparently caught on video breaking into school lockers.
The video camera was secretly planted by Newfield High School senior Tiana Rapp, who says she was victimized twice and had $190 taken from her.
Rapp says officials at the school in Selden told her that a student was likely responsible, but she remained suspicious. She and a friend set up the video camera, which captured the hall monitor rifling through their belongings.
Police were contacted and the hall monitor was ticketed. A school statement says the woman has resigned.
