An East Rockaway teen was assaulted by a group of men during the early morning hours on Sunday, Nassau police said.
The victim, an 18 year old man who was with two friends, was confronted on Davison Street by a larger group of men who began to assault them, according to 4th Squad detectives.
The attackers, all men ages 18-23 and unknown to the victims, had fence posts and sticks, which police say may have been stick ball bats. The assailants were white and black-skinned, police said.
The 18-year-old was taken to Mercy Hospital by private car and treated for lacerations to his head and released.
Another victim refused treatment.
The investigation is continuing as there were no arrests made in connection with the incident.
