While the queen of daytime TV Oprah Winfrey and hunky dad Brad Pitt took in the circus that was Barack Obama’s acceptance speech at Grant Park in Illinois, a couple of Friends spent their night celebrating in Beverly Hills. Courteney Cox and hubby David Arquette hosted an Obama victory party and all their BFFs were around to raise a glass and toast to change, including Jennifer Aniston, John Mayer, Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher.

America’s favorite trophy wife, Ivana Trump, first love of The Donald, is denying reports that she and her newlywed husband Rossano Rubicondi are contemplating a long vacation in Splitsville. The couple has been plagued by breakup rumors since their wedding ceremony this past April. But Trump is singing “Don’t Cry for Me Czechoslovakia,” because she’s been seen cruising the town with 23-year-old model Marius Rusovici at two New York charity galas, while Rubicondi was away in Italy taking part in a reality show.

In we thought-we’d-see-the-real-thing-first news, long-awaited Guns N’ Roses album Chinese Democracy is finally slated to hit the stores. Fourteen years coming, the GNR album will be released in the States exclusively through Best Buy on Nov. 23. While singer Axl Rose has held his tongue, co-managers Irving Azoff and Andy Gould said in a statement, “The release of Chinese Democracy marks a historic moment in rock and roll. We’re launching with a monumental campaign that matches the groundbreaking sound of the album itself. Guns N’ Roses fans have every reason to celebrate, for this is only the beginning.” Former GNR guitarist Slash told reporters he was glad to hear his old frontman’s voice again, and added that his current band Velvet Revolver was continuing its search for a singer following the departure of Scott Weiland.
