Hubert Keen, Ph.D., Farmingdale State College President

Hubert KeenIt’s been a great three years for Farmingdale State under the direction of President Hubert Keen. The college will break ground on a new $25 million Campus Center this year, part of a $185-million campus construction and renovation project. FSC was recently selected as one of the “Best Colleges” in the North by US News & World Report, named one of the safest campuses in the nation by The Daily Beast and one of the top 100 public colleges and universities in terms of earning power of graduates by payscale.com. Drawing upon the college’s environmental legacy, he established the Green Building Institute in 2010, offering training in the design and construction of eco-friendly buildings. Keen was honored by the American Red Cross for the college’s extensive work to better prepare Long Island for a major disaster as well as its commitment to serve as an evacuation center. In a nutshell, Keen has launched Farmingdale forward academically, financially, scientifically, structurally and most importantly, he’s done it all with a social conscience.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
