A Levittown woman was arrested for driving drunk after she struck two cars in Hempstead Friday evening, according to Nassau Police.
Police said Maria Aman, 27, struck two parked cars on Fulton Avenue while her four-year-old daughter was in the car with her. Aman appeared to be unsteady on her feet, had slurred speech and smelled of alcohol when police arrived. She was arrested on the spot.
Her daughter suffered injuries to her abdomen and was taken to Winthrop Hospital.
Aman was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child under 15, driving while intoxicated, refusal to take a breathalyzer, conditional license and criminal contempt.
She will be arraigned today at First District Court in Hempstead.
