Family Seeks Help Finding Uniondale Teen

by Timothy Bolger on December 28, 2009

A Uniondale family is asking for the public’s help in finding an 18-year-old man who was last seen five weeks ago.

Sean Wagner

Sean Wagner

Sean Wagner, a freshman art major in his first semester at Nassau Community College, went missing after he left his Newport Road home to go to class on the morning of Thursday, Nov. 19. He was last seen on the Garden City campus at 6 p.m., his family said.

“It’s like a nightmare,” said his grandmother, Anne Wagner, who added that Sean’s Christmas gift is still under the tree. She said Sean, who is of Guyanese decent, was planning a party for the Caribbean Students Organization that was scheduled for the day after, but he never arrived.

The family had been calling his cell phone, but it goes straight to voicemail, indicating that the phone is dead, she said.

“He has never done anything like this,” she said. “When these things happen it tears you up.”

The college is about two miles from his home. “To be lost between there and here don’t add up,” she said. “I’m trying to put the pieces together and they just don’t fit.”

Wagner is described as a black man, 5’5” tall, 140 lbs. with short hair, light skin, brown eyes and was last seen wearing black pants, a black shirt and combat boots.

Nassau police are investigating. The family asks that anyone with information call Anne Wagner at 516-481-6746.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
