Mom of Slain Woman Says She Received Messages

by Associated Press on December 12, 2009

The mother of the Medford woman whose burning remains were found in Connecticut says she received chilling text messages sent from her daughter’s phone after her daughter disappeared.

Barbara Ross says one message said her daughter’s boyfriend had her tied up in a basement against her will. But the family says they believe the boyfriend had nothing to do with Rebecca Koster’s death.

Police found Koster’s burning remains in North Stonington, Conn., late on Dec. 4. The remains were identified Wednesday.

Koster’s death has been ruled a homicide. No arrests have been made.

Koster’ family believes the messages were from her killer. They believe the texts are an attempt to cover the killer’s tracks or divert blame, or a prank.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
