Jonathan Salinas, 16, of Uniondale, was arrested with the help of a search dog after the suspect was spotted by officers removing pieces of a Volkswagen’s interior panels at a gas station on Uniondale Avenue at 12:50 a.m., police said.

Salinas fled and police lost sight of him as he ran into a rear yard on Duryea Avenue, but a K-9 Unit officer with the aid of his dog, “Duke,” apprehended the suspect shortly thereafter. Salinas was charged with auto stripping and possession of burglar’s tools.

A half-hour later in Wantagh, a 7th Precinct officer on routine patrol spotted a suspicious box truck and suspects inside the locked storage area of the Dodge Dealership on Sunrise Highway, police said.

K-9 Units again assisted in the arrest of Steven Lindsey,51, of Inwood and David Robertson, 45, of Farmingdale, who were each charged with criminal mischief and possession of burglar’s tools. The truck turned out to be stolen from Queens, police said.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
