Palmer Vineyards Is On The Market

by Associated Press on September 29, 2009

palmervineyardThe family of a deceased Long Island wine pioneer says his vineyards are for sale.

Robert Palmer died in January. His family had hoped that Palmer Vineyards would be able to continue after his death and even expand. But his daughter, Kathy Le Morzellec, says it would take too much money.

One property is a winery in Aquebogue, with winemaking facilities, a tasting room and a restored 18th-century farmhouse. It’s on sale for $6.9 million. A separate vineyard in Cutchogue is on sale for $3.9 million.

Palmer started the winery in 1983. He was among the first people to put money into wine making on Long Island. His winery was also among the first to export Long Island wine overseas.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
