A Central Islip man has been arrested for murdering another man and stuffing the victim’s body in a closet on Christmas Eve, Suffolk County police said.
Officers responded to a call of a dead body that was found in a closet at a Ferndale Boulevard home at 4:50 p.m. Monday, police said.
The unidentified victim was taken to the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s office where an autopsy will be performed.
A resident of the home, 33-year-old Aston Barth, was charged with second-degree murder.
He will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
Homicide Squad detectives are coninuing the investigation.
