by Associated Press on February 23, 2012

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) — Quinn McDowell scored 21 points and Brandon Britt knocked down a 3-pointer with 18.1 seconds left to secure William & Mary’s 75-71 win over Hofstra on Wednesday night.

Britt finished with 14 points for the Tribe (6-24, 4-13 Colonial Athletic Association), who shot a season-high 55.6 percent from the field (25 of 45) and made 10 of 25 from long range.

William & Mary led 42-39 at halftime and built a seven-point lead on two occasions, the last at 63-56 with 9:22 to go.

The Pride (9-21, 2-1) closed the gap to 70-69 with 4:28 to go, then both teams went cold. McDowell made two free throws more than 3 minutes apart, then Mike Moore sank two foul shots for Hofstra with 49 seconds left to again get within a point. After Britt’s trey, the Tribe missed their final two attempts from the field.

Moore’s 25 points led the Pride.

Wedding & Event FAQ
Q- Does the flower girl have to wear white or ivory to match the bride?

A-Your flower girl can wear any colored dress, which of course coordinates with the rest of your wedding party. If you choose for her to wear white or ivory, you can accent the dress with the bridal party color sash or appliqué. She can also wear the color of the bridal party and to differentiate her, you can add a white or ivory sash. Choose something that you feel will coordinate best with the rest of your bridal party.
